  • Sitting on an island of land between Chepstow Street and Bridgewater Street this tile clad Victorian pub certainly stands out from its surroundings. The building dates back to the early 19th Century but the cladding was added in 1900. The name is said to commemorate a horse-drawn stagecoach that ran between Manchester and London.
Th Peveril offers a selection of well kept real ales, lagers, bottled beers and spirits at reasonable prices in a warm and friendly pub environment. As far as pub facilities go there is a dart board, pool table and football table on offer as well as a very popular jukebox. For those who want a nice quiet drink there is also a lovely lounge room to sit back and have a chat with old friends.
